An earthy autumn wedding at Oak Grove, Jorgenson Farms

Aimee + Andrew’s earthy green and white autumn wedding at Jorgensen Farm’s Oak Grove was a beautiful, joyful event.  I loved creating bespoke details for Aimee’s earthy, bohemian wedding vision. It was important to infuse the day with as many thoughtful details possible, because Aimee is a wedding photographer herself. For the escort cards I carefully calligraphed in white ink, filled with sprigs of fresh greenery from State + Arrow. Real, stretched leather canvases were used for signage elsewhere. Above all, the earthy green and white color palette was highlighted by gorgeous harvest golds sprinkled throughout. For instance, the rich tones of The Lesser Bear’s hand dyed silk created a gorgeous pop of color on the ceremony arch.

As a result, this October wedding felt autumnal, but  still fresh!

Noah + Abigail’s romantic midwest summer wedding

Narrowing down the photos for Abigail + Noah’s blog post was nearly impossible, I just love this little lady and her family so much (and now her husbands family, too!) She first saw Noah at a mutual family friend’s wedding. The two were 17 and in High School- but Abigail still remembers to this day what he was wearing: a black suit and a light green tie (of course he chose something a bit more streamlined for their wedding day.) Abigail’s vision for the aesthetic of their wedding day was simple and sweet with a bohemian vibe; lots of greenery with moody touches here and there, and it came together beautifully. Read on to see some of my favorite details from their day, including a cool plot twist to their planning!

I loved Abigail’s sweet words about her wedding day when I asked her what her favorite part was.

“I loved absolutely everything of the wedding, but I would have to say one of my favorite things of the day is seeing what God had in store for our wedding day. 3 months prior to the wedding we ended up switching venues from a beautiful barn church due to feeling led that we were to get married somewhere else. My family, sisters in laws, and mother in law paired with God & just traveled around the small town of Upper Sandusky to see where our wedding would be. It was such a fun process to rely on guidance from God completely! Hannah ( my sister in law & the photographer of the wedding ) sent many ideas of places that would be fun to try, this included: the museum in upper, an alley, & the park. Noah and I had complete peace over the venue situation and I remember saying a prayer about where God would want us to get married to glorify Him & a field came to mind. No coincidence we ended up marrying in a field at a golf course 🙂 Crazy how God works!”

Such an amazing story- and the wedding truly reflected the joy this amazing couple had found in each other and in God’s purpose in their life! Each time I remember it it brings happy tears to my eyes. Congrats Abigail + Noah!

Brides will love this Rockmill Brewery Summer Wedding

Nick + Allie’s bohemian summer wedding in Lancaster Ohio

Brides, you will love this Rockmill Brewery summer wedding. First of all, Rockmill Brewery is one of Central Ohio’s best wedding venues, hence it was the perfect locale for this bohemian summer wedding. Because Allie has incredible taste (she’s a store director for Madewell) packing her wedding full of unique details was essential. Bespoke white farm tables, dancing in the grass, and eating churros out of pretty paper cups are just some of the details that elevate this wedding above the rest.

It’s all in the wedding details

Due to the wedding being at the end of August, we chose to infuse the day with “back to school in the 70’s” vibes here and there. Their seating chart was made from a letter folk letter board, and stadium marquee cards were used as table numbers.

We decided against using any specific wedding color palette, opting instead for black and white, accented by greenery. For that reason, Adria from State + Arrow incorporated whatever colors felt right into the floral designs.

Read on to see how Allie + Nick’s full team of vendors made their wedding an unforgettable, magical night.

A friend of the bride and I collaborated on these perfect watercolor wedding invitations. Aggie turned my simple watercolors into incredible, hand-lettered works of art!

Table assignments were listed on this unique seating chart on a letter folk letter board. It was probably one of my favorite details due to its obvious nod to the back-to-school season.

An alternative to wedding cake that complimented the taco bar menu? Churros! Conclusion

Above all, these two sweet souls wanted to put their value of a Christ-centered marriage above any other detail. Seeing this wedding featured in The Knot was amazing, however I am more thankful for the lifelong friendships formed with Allie and her vendors as a result.  Its why I love what I do!

A Moody, bohemian Strongwater wedding you’ll love

Sasha + Corey

Sasha and Corey’s moody, bohemian Strongwater wedding will always remains one of my favorite projects.  Due to Sasha’s daring and incredible taste, and not to mention remarkable beauty, it was an honor to style her wedding. The bride described her desired wedding aesthetic as “Salem in the Spring”  as a result of it being held during Halloween weekend.  Read on to see how we made this moody, bohemian Strongwater wedding vision come to life.sashacorey-262-2sashacorey-441sashacorey-554sashacorey-934

Crafted by the talented Kirsten of Bear Roots Floral, Sasha’s bouquet and floral crown (complete with bird skull) were a bohemian wedding dream. Furthermore, the naturally dyed silk ribbon made another perfect accent for her moody floral designs.

sashacorey-2088 Probably one of my favorite details was the watercolor lunar calendar I created for the seating chart. Guest’s names were written in calligraphy on individual phases of the moon. Likewise, I made dip-dyed table numbers to coordinate with the phases of the moon.sashacorey-1976

Greenhouse wedding inspiration in Columbus, Ohio

Last spring, some of my favorite creative vendors and I teamed up to create earthy, greenhouse wedding inspiration in Columbus, Ohio. Our desire was to give brides inspiration to bring the outdoors in, therefore the McCullough greenhouse provided the perfect setting.

First of all, we wanted to work with an unexpected take on the traditional spring wedding color palette. Because of this, we used shades of blush pink and pale blue, along with pops of mimosa yellow and deep burgundy. As a result, we created an environment so lush and romantic, no one would have guessed it was a blustery snowy day!Greenhouse wedding inspiration, greenhouse wedding columbus ohiogreenhouse wedding inspiration, greenhouse wedding, columbus ohio wedding
