Sasha + Corey
Sasha and Corey’s moody, bohemian Strongwater wedding will always remains one of my favorite projects. Due to Sasha’s daring and incredible taste, and not to mention remarkable beauty, it was an honor to style her wedding. The bride described her desired wedding aesthetic as “Salem in the Spring” as a result of it being held during Halloween weekend. Read on to see how we made this moody, bohemian Strongwater wedding vision come to life.
How killer is this crocheted dress? The fringe was exquisite.
Crafted by the talented Kirsten of Bear Roots Floral, Sasha’s bouquet and floral crown (complete with bird skull) were a bohemian wedding dream. Furthermore, the naturally dyed silk ribbon made another perfect accent for her moody floral designs.
An installation composed of geode slices, feathers, and greenery hung suspended over the dance floor. Because of its natural sparkle, I affectionately named it mother nature’s disco ball.
Probably one of my favorite details was the watercolor lunar calendar I created for the seating chart. Guest’s names were written in calligraphy on individual phases of the moon. Likewise, I made dip-dyed table numbers to coordinate with the phases of the moon.
This stunning macramé served as a Photo Booth backdrop for guest’s to use at the reception.
