Summer garden wedding inspiration Columbus, Ohio

Green and white Summer garden Wedding Inspiration in Columbus, Ohio

Kathleen and Braden were such an incredible couple to style for.  Kathleen’s summer garden wedding inspiration for the the alleyway of Via Vecchia was a dream, and her team of vendors were up to the task.

Katie Reed of Old Slate farm used mock orange and unripe strawberries in order to create a perfect early summer garden vibe. I opted to print Kathleen’s wedding signage on handmade cotton paper, mounting it to linen for a fine art appeal. Finally, we added fresh greenery and florals to the signage to evoke a summer garden vibe. I especially loved the table numbers complete with sprig of olive.

Juniper Rooftop Wedding Inspiration- gorgeous ideas for 614 Brides

Gorgeous, Audrey Hepburn Inspired Bridal Editorial for Juniper Rooftop in Columbus, Ohio

As seen on Green Wedding Shoes

This wedding editorial was designed to inspire brides with the stunning view of the Columbus Skyline from Juniper Rooftop.  Along with Adria from State + Arrow, we set out to create gorgeous Juniper Rooftop wedding inspiration for our local 614 brides.

We started with a warm and feminine color palette to soften the crisp, architectural feel of the space. Hues of rose, yellow, burgundy and blush evoked the vibe of a rooftop party in spring. A blush colored satin gown, paired with classic hair and makeup were utterly romantic. The hand painted cake was also the perfect nod to modern, romantic style.

Finally, Adria’s circular floral centerpiece was probably one of my favorite parts of the shoot. Due to the airiness of the design. it allowed for a perfectly framed view of downtown.

Keep scrolling for gorgeous Juniper Rooftop wedding inspiration from some of our favorite local vendors.

An earthy autumn wedding at Oak Grove, Jorgenson Farms

As featured recently on Oh the Heart

Aimee + Andrew’s earthy green and white autumn wedding at Jorgensen Farm’s Oak Grove was a beautiful, joyful event.  I loved creating bespoke details for Aimee’s earthy, bohemian wedding vision. It was important to infuse the day with as many thoughtful details possible, because Aimee is a wedding photographer herself. For the escort cards I carefully calligraphed in white ink, filled with sprigs of fresh greenery from State + Arrow. Real, stretched leather canvases were used for signage elsewhere. Above all, the earthy green and white color palette was highlighted by gorgeous harvest golds sprinkled throughout. For instance, the rich tones of The Lesser Bear’s hand dyed silk created a gorgeous pop of color on the ceremony arch.

As a result, this October wedding felt autumnal, but  still fresh!

Noah + Abigail’s romantic midwest summer wedding

Narrowing down the photos for Abigail + Noah’s blog post was nearly impossible, I just love this little lady and her family so much (and now her husbands family, too!) She first saw Noah at a mutual family friend’s wedding. The two were 17 and in High School- but Abigail still remembers to this day what he was wearing: a black suit and a light green tie (of course he chose something a bit more streamlined for their wedding day.) Abigail’s vision for the aesthetic of their wedding day was simple and sweet with a bohemian vibe; lots of greenery with moody touches here and there, and it came together beautifully. Read on to see some of my favorite details from their day, including a cool plot twist to their planning!

Abigail’s dad built the arbor entrance and the beautiful triangular altar and platform as a visual reminder of Ecc.4:12, “a cord of three strands is not easily broken.”

I loved Abigail’s sweet words about her wedding day when I asked her what her favorite part was.

“I loved absolutely everything of the wedding, but I would have to say one of my favorite things of the day is seeing what God had in store for our wedding day. 3 months prior to the wedding we ended up switching venues from a beautiful barn church due to feeling led that we were to get married somewhere else. My family, sisters in laws, and mother in law paired with God & just traveled around the small town of Upper Sandusky to see where our wedding would be. It was such a fun process to rely on guidance from God completely! Hannah ( my sister in law & the photographer of the wedding ) sent many ideas of places that would be fun to try, this included: the museum in upper, an alley, & the park. Noah and I had complete peace over the venue situation and I remember saying a prayer about where God would want us to get married to glorify Him & a field came to mind. No coincidence we ended up marrying in a field at a golf course 🙂 Crazy how God works!”

Such an amazing story- and the wedding truly reflected the joy this amazing couple had found in each other and in God’s purpose in their life! Each time I remember it it brings happy tears to my eyes. Congrats Abigail + Noah!

Allie + Nick, Summer Wedding at Rockmill Brewery

Allie + Nick’s bohemian outdoor wedding at Rockmill Brewery was a dream to plan and style. Rockmill Brewery is one of Central Ohio’s best wedding venues, and it made the perfect locale for Allie’s artful but effortless vision or her wedding. Allie has incredible taste (she’s a store director for Madewell) so packing her big day full of unexpected and memorable details was essential; details like bespoke white farm tables, dancing in the grass, and eating churros out of pretty paper cups. Since the wedding was at the end of August, we chose to include “back to school in the 70’s” vibes here and there; a letterfolk letterboard seating chart and thrifted old school stadium marquee cards as table numbers. We decided against using any specific wedding color palette, opting instead for black and white and natural greenery and allowing Adria from State + Arrow to play with whatever colors felt right. Read on to see how Allie + Nick’s full team of vendors made their wedding an unforgettable, magical (windy) night in a beautiful Ohio hollow.

I loved collaborating with Allie’s friend Aggie to create the perfect watercolor wedding invitations. Angie turned my simple watercolor illustrations into incredible, hand-lettered works of art!

Guests found their table assignment with this unique seating chart- crafted from a Letterfolk letterboard for clean and pretty vibe with a nod to the back-to-school season.

It was a beautiful night, and a beautiful wedding for two sweet souls who put their importance of a Christ -centered marriage above any other detail. It was such an incredible joy to see this wedding featured in the Ohio publication of The Knot, but more than anything-I am so thankful for the lifelong friendship I formed with Allie and her team of vendors along the way- at the end of the day, its why I love what I do!

Waite for Us- Ben + Kara, a classic garden-inspired wedding at the Columbus Athenaeum

I can’t begin to express how much I loved working with Ben + Kara for their wedding day. Their love for each other is so sweet, deeply rooted, and evident in every part of their planning and throughout the event. Out of their love for their Alma Mater, Ohio State, the couple chose a palette of scarlet + grey, but accented it with pinks, peaches, and greens to create the perfect summer color scheme. Their Buckeye pride was sprinkled throughout the rest of the day as well- Carmen Ohio was played during the ceremony, and Kara + Ben were surprised with a visit from the OSU Alumni marching band as well! Here are just a few of my favorite details from such a wonderful day- all provided by their amazing photographer- Susie Marie Photography (be sure to check her out!)View More: http://susiemariephotography.pass.us/waite-for-usWe wanted to honor Ben’s request for an invitation that wasn’t overly girly. The result was this sweet and simple monogrammed invitation in black and white- with colorful envelopes to give it an extra pop, and a watercolor floral envelope liner- which you can see here.  The overall vibe of the suite was dubbed “Wes Anderson at a garden party” (and Ben and Kara were BOTH happy.)View More: http://susiemariephotography.pass.us/waite-for-usView More: http://susiemariephotography.pass.us/waite-for-uspronoviasgowndetails.jpg
