A sweet, fine-art engagement session in Ohio
This springtime farm engagement session took place at Old Slate Farm in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. Collaborating with Jenny Haas and Katie Reed was an incredible experience. Jenny Haas captured the sun-soaked, windswept images all on film, so the results are simplistic but stunningly romantic.
There are so many details to fall in love with, such as a beautiful dress from Free People, enchanting florals, and above all, baby lambs. In short, Midwest brides will be fawning over this springtime farm engagement session. Read on to find more inspiration from Steffi and Hosain’s fine-art engagement session at Old Slate Farm.
The Lesser Bear’s layered silk ribbons swirled romantically in the wind.
The sun was gorgeous and bright, however the wind was chilly, so cuddles between the engaged pair were not only cute, but necessary! Consequently, it made their engagement all the sweeter.
This springtime engagement session was very close to my heart as a designer. The coral and clay colors are some of my favorites hues to work with, as well as my branding colors. The emotions evoked by the sun and wind capture the idyllic heart behind much of my work as a stylist. Most importantly, the creativity and collaboration of the women involved in the project was encouraging and inspiring to me.
In addition to the beautiful bouquet, Katie also created a stunning floral arrangement. Preserved butterflies were carefully pinned throughout to emphasize the sunny, naturalist aesthetic of the shoot.
